I’m Joe Crosby. Trainer, Coach, Nutrition Coach, Veteran.
I spent more than 20 years in service. I am a 100% service-connected disabled veteran. I built Iron & Olive because I got tired of watching people chase quick fixes — six-week abs, detox teas, whatever was loud that month.
I was nearly fifty pounds overweight. I was on more than twenty medications a day. Blood pressure 175/115. Resting heart rate in the low nineties. Oxygen saturation in the low nineties. Then I was in a hospital bed, shortly after they defibrillated me back into normal sinus rhythm.
That was the end of pretending I was invincible.
Two years later the weight is still off. Blood pressure sits around 108/68. Resting heart rate is in the low sixties. Oxygen is near normal. Most of the meds are gone.
People asked what I did. It was not a miracle stack. It was strength work I could repeat, Mediterranean-style eating I could live with, and sleep I finally treated like part of the program. That is the name: Iron for the training, Olive for the food.
The work is not about looking perfect. It is about showing up — tired, busy, over 40 — and keeping the basics in place. Peptides and other tools can help some people. They do not replace food, training, or a doctor.
